Thanks to IMAX we’ve got a new trailer to share with you for Brad Pitt’s upcoming sci-fi space exploration film Ad Astra. The trailer is packed full of new footage and offers us a bit more insight on the story. In my opinion, it’s the best trailer yet, and it shows off some stunning visuals.
The James Grey (The Lost City of Z) directed film follows Pitt’s character as he embarks on a mission into space to find his missing dad, who is played by Tommy Lee Jones. As the fate of all life on Earth hangs in the balance, his dad holds the answers to what is happening.
This film looks like it tells a fascinating story and I’m curious to see how it ends up playing out. Here’s the synopsis:
Astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos.
The film also stars Ruth Negga, Donald Sutherland, Jamie Kennedy, John Finn, Kimberly Elise, Bobby Nish, LisaGay Hamilton, and John Ortiz.
Ad Astra hits theaters on September 20th, 2019.
