Tom Hiddleston has played Loki in the MCU for a long time. He finally ended up getting his own standalone story in a Loki series that is playing out on Disney+, and that series will continue with a second season. So, how long exactly will Hiddleston play the character? According to him, he is prepared to continue to play Loki for the rest of his life!
During a recent Tumblr Q&A, Hiddleston was asked about how long he is willing to play Loki for and this was his response:
“If I were asked to play Loki for the rest of my life, would I? Yeah, absolutely. I’m so lucky that I’ve got to play Loki for this long. I feel like he’s such an interesting character who’s been around in human consciousness for so long. And he’s got so many different aspects, so many different complex characteristics, that it feels like every time I play him I find out something new or we get to evolve him or take him down an avenue that we haven’t gone down before.
“Yeah, [Loki’s] been around for a while. I think he’s going to be around for a lot longer. Meanwhile, I’ll just hold on for as long as people want me to hold on for.”
I’m sure this news will make Loki fans happy. He’s been a Marvel fan favorite ever since made his debut in the MCU, and it’ll be a lot of fun seeing how the character continues to evolve.
So, what other project can we expect to see Loki in outside of the the Loki series? He’s reportedly set to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and with the way this series is setting up the character, he could easily show up at any point in any of the future upcoming films!
