It was recently announced that Dwayne Johnson was teaming up with Hobbs and Shaw scribe Chris Morgan for a new Christmas-themed movie titled Red One at Amazon.
The film was previously described as “a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy, imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre.” The announcement added, “This unique concept represents a property that could encompass not only a tentpole film, but could reach beyond entertainment across multiple industries and businesses.”
Well, Johnson is offering a bit of new information on the Red One project sharing in an Instagram post that the movie is “Hobbs meets Miracle on 34th Street”.

Now, when I imagine “Hobbs meets Miracle on 34th Street” I just see a lot of silly things in my head. I can’t help but think that this is basically going to be a Fast and Furious style Christmas franchise. It could be fun, it could be stupid, I’m sure it’ll be a bit of both.
