For those of you who were fans of Netflix’s horror series The Haunting of Hill House, I’ve got a treat for you! There’s an extended cut of the series coming to Blu-ray!
Unfortunately, no details were revealed on what we can expect from the extended cut, but you can bet it will also be filled with all kinds of special features. I’m just curious to see what new footage is included that will drive this terrifying story forward.

The series is a modern reimagining of the original story and director Mike Flanagan (Ouija: Origin of Evil, Gerald’s Game) did an incredible job bringing the story to life. Here’s the synopsis for the series:
The series will explore a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country. Now adults, and forced back together in the face of tragedy, the family must finally confront the ghosts of their past — some of which still lurk in their minds while others may actually be stalking the shadows of Hill House.
Flanagan is currently developing the second season of the series, which is called The Haunting of Bly Manor, which is based on the 1898 novel by Henry James, The Turn of the Screw. The book tells the story of a governess, who will be played by Pedretti, “hired to look after a pair of siblings. However, several ghosts around their manor house exhibit a supernatural hold over the children.”
