Miles Teller (Whiplash, Top Gun: Maverick) has signed on to star in the series The Offer, which details the behind the scenes story of the making of the acclaimed film, The Godfather. Teller will play producer Al Ruddy, who was originally set to be portrayed by Armie Hammer, who can’t keep a job now due to his insane sexual misconduct allegations.

Teller will executive produce in addition to starring. The Offer will tell the story of Ruddy’s experience as a producer on The Godfather back in 1972. Paramount Plus has given the limited series a 10-episode order.

Nikki Toscano and Michael Toklin co-wrote and will executive produce, with Toscano also serving as showrunner. Dexter Fletcher is attached to direct the first and last block of episodes in addition to executive producing the series along with Leslie Greif. Paramount Television Studios will produce.

I think Teller is a great actor, and I am excited for his upcoming projects, including this one. Do you like Teller as the series star?
