Over the last year, Star Wars fans have heard rumors that the character Jar Jar Binks could be returning to the franchise in the long-awaited Obi-Wan Kenobi series that is headed to Disney+. This was good news for fans of the character, but as we all know, fewer Star Wars enjoy Jar Jar Binks than those who do not. Although, it does seem he has gotten a little more love over the last few years compared to when he first appeared in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace in 1999.
But Ahmed Best, the actor who has played Jar Jar Binks in the films, series and games, has come out and confirmed that the character will not be appearing in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series after all. Check out his Tweet below:
Thanks for the love, but I will not be in this series. As much as I would’ve loved to be a part of it. But I’m ecstatic to see folks who I love dearly back together doing great things. https://t.co/5bzLq9yslh

Of course, not everyone is taking his word for it, as he could be sworn to secrecy, but I don’t think a character like Binks would be kept quiet as a big reveal for the series. What do you think? Would you like to see Jar Jar Binks back in the Disney+ show?
