Steven Soderbergh (Erin Brockovich, Oceans 1113, Logan Lucky) has signed on to direct a new pic for New Line Cinema Max called KIMI. The movie is set to land at HBO Max with Zoe Kravitz (Big Little Lies, The Batman) starring. David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Spider-Man, Panic Room) penned the script and will produce along with Westworld producer Michael Polaire.

Here’s the synopsis via Deadline:

The film follows an agoraphobic tech worker who discovers recorded evidence of a violent crime during an ordinary data stream review and tries reporting it up the chain of command at her company. Meeting with resistance and bureaucracy, she realizes that in order to get involved, she will have to do the thing she fears the most — leave her apartment.

This is a great basis for a film, and with Kravitz and Soderbergh on board as well as the additional crew, I think it has the makings for a solid thriller. Are you intrigued?
