PEANUT BUTTER FALCON Star Zack Gottsagen and Felicity Huffman to Star in ABC Baseball Sitcom

Actress Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives, Transamerica) and The Peanut Butter Falcon star Zack Gottsagen have signed on to star in an upcoming comedy series at ABC that is set in the world of minor league baseball.

Variety reports:

The untitled single-camera comedy stars Huffman as the unlikely owner of a minor league baseball team. After suddenly losing her husband and inheriting his beloved team, she is forced to navigate her new normal with the help of her dysfunctional family, including her oldest son, a baseball devotee with Down’s Syndrome (Gottsagen), her work family and the Sacramento community at large. The project is inspired by Susan Savage, the real-life owner of the Triple A World Champion River Cats.

Becky Hartman Edwards is set to write and executive produce the series, alongside the source of the story, Susan Savage. Huffman will executive produce as well as star, with Gottsagen producing as well. I am really excited to see Gottsagen back in a role, as The Peanut Butter Falcon was one of my favorite movies last year. He is a great actor, and this sounds like a fun project for him to be a part of. It will be nice to see Huffman again as well, now that she’s out of the clink.
