Disney Moves FREE GUY and DEATH ON THE NILE Off Its 2020 Release Date Schedule

Disney is shaking up some more release dates for a couple of films that were supposed to come out this year. Ryan Reynolds’ action-comedy Free Guy and Kenneth Branagh’s Death on the Nile have both been pulled off the 2020 release schedule.

Free Guy was set to come out on December 11th, and Death on the Nile was set to debut on December 18th. There’s no word on when they are coming out now, but I imagine they will be pushed to next year.

This is just another big blow to movie theaters, which have been struggling to survive for months. As of right now, the only new big blockbuster film still to be released in theaters this year is Wonder Woman 1984, and that very well could change!

Some of the smaller films still set to be released include The Croods: A New Age on November 25th, Freaky on November 13th, and Promising Young Woman on December 25th.

Unfortunately, if you’re in Los Angeles, New York, or any of the other big cities, you’re out of luck! According to Comscore, roughly 50% of U.S. theaters are open.
