We’ve got a new trailer for the Netflix rom-com Holidate, starring Emma Roberts (We’re the Millers, American Horror Story) and Luke Bracey (Point Break, Hacksaw Ridge).
This holiday themed film also stars Frances Fisher (Titanic, Watchmen), Kristin Chenoweth (Four Christmases, Pushing Daisies), Jessica Capshaw (Grey’s Anatomy), Mikaela Hoover (Guardians of the Galaxy), Jake Manley (Midway), Manish Dayal (The Resident, Halt and Catch Fire), and Alex Moffat (SNL).
The movie is about a young woman named Sloane (Roberts), who constantly gets hassled for being the only single one left in her family. She hates the holidays and the stress they bring, until she meets Jackson (Bracey), who is in the same boat. They decide to be each other’s dates for every holiday for the next year, and romance and comedy ensue.
This actually looks like a step up from the Hallmark Christmas movies that come pouring out around this time of year. Still a little cheesy and predictable, sure, but it also looks like it will be really funny and has a pretty good cast. Check out the trailer below, and watch Holidate on Netflix on October 28th.
