In case you didn’t know, legendary creature designer, artist, and animator Ray Harryhausen would have returned 100 years old in 2020. I grew up watching the films Harryhausen made. My dad enjoyed showing me those movies, and I loved them! The main reason that I loved them so much was because of the creatures and monsters that Harryhausen created for those classic movies!

To mark the occasion of his birthday, the Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation put on a Comic-Con@Home virtual panel offering us an exclusive look into the incredible collection which was gathered over a lifetime of creativity.
Ray’s daughter Vanessa Harryhausen (foundation trustee), John Walsh (foundation trustee), and Connor Heaney (collections manager) are a part of the panel. and they show off and discuss some of Ray’s most iconic creations. They also share memories and secrets from the archive, celebrating a century of cinema magic.
