NBC has picked up a new sci-fi series titled Debris. The pilot for the series is the only one that managed to be shot and completed before COVID-19 shut down all productions.

Debris follows “two agents from two different continents, and two different mindsets, who must work together to investigate when wreckage from a destroyed alien spacecraft has mysterious effects on humankind.”

The series stars Jonathan Tucker (Kingdom, Snowfall, Westworld) as agent Bryan Beneventi, who is described as “a headstrong, smart CIA operative currently working on the investigation of strange occurrences.” British actress Riann Steele (Ant-Man and The Wasp, The Magicians) takes on the role of agent Finola Jones, who is described as a “classic rule following MI6 agent who is partnered with Beneventi.”

The series comes from writer and executive producer J.H. Wyman (Fringe, Almost Human) and executive producer Jason Hoffs. Legendary Television will produce with Universal Television.

This sounds like an interesting series with a cool concept. I’m curious to see what comes of it.
