New Trailer for Netflix’s Arthurian Series CURSED Based on Frank Miller’s Graphic Novel

Another exciting trailer has dropped for Netflix’s series adaptation of Frank Miller’s Arthurian graphic novel Cursed. The trailer shows off a good amount of new footage and also offers some additional insight into the story that it tells. That story focuses on the origin of Excalibur and the woman that initially wields the sword.

I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen from these trailers so far and this is looking like it’s going to be an awesome and epic fantasy series that audiences will enjoy. I’m exciting for it!

Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why) takes on the role of Nimune in the story; she is “a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther.”

Cursed is described as “a coming-of-age story whose themes are familiar to our own time: the obliteration of the natural world, religious terror, senseless war, and finding the courage to lead in the face of the impossible.”

Devon Terrell takes not the role of Arthur, who will join forces to fight against king Uther Pendragon and the villainous Red Paladins led by Peter Mullan’s Father Carden. The story will also include some of the legendary members of the Round Table, with Matt Stokoe portraying Sir Gawain and Gustaf Skarsgård playing Merlin.

All episodes of Cursed will be available on Netflix starting July 17th.
