Jason Voorhees Shares His Thoughts on Wearing Protective Face Masks in Amusing PSA Video

With the coronavirus still sweeping the nation, we are hearing a lot of cities and states telling people that they need to wear their protective face masks to help slow the spread. Some people have no problem with wearing masks, while others have no problem not wearing masks. It’s certainly been interesting seeing how people react to these things.

Anyway, the debate on wearing masks has inspired a PSA media campaign about the importance of wearing masks, and the mascot for this is none other than Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th slasher films.

As you’ll see in the video below, Jason just wants everyone to get on the same page about fighting the coronavirus by masking up before you go out. The PSA video is done in a fun and amusing way and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

Wearing a mask has proven to be an easy and important way to stem the spread of the #coronavirus, yet many New Yorkers still aren’t doing it. This is especially true of younger people who may feel invincible to #Covid19. How can we get them to pay attention to this life-saving message? Tap into pop culture and entertain them. Don’t preach. Don’t fear-monger. Do the opposite. Make them smile, engage and share with their peers. As the tri-state area begins to open, Toby Trygg, Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy Health, aligned with the talented folks at @chimneygroup to help create this timely PSA. #Ogilvy #OgilvyHealth #AgencyLife #AdLife #PSA #PublicHealth #Creative
