Let’s Talk About THE CLONE WARS Season 7 Episode 6 – “Deal No Deal”

“Deal No Deal” is the sixth episode of the seventh and final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. If you haven’t watched it yet, this is your spoiler warning. You can watch new episodes on Disney+ every Friday.

I don’t know why, but I do not like Trace and Rafa. Are they as one-dimensional as they feel? Is it because Trace talks way too much and can’t let there be a moment of silence? I’m not sure. If you like these characters, please let me know why in the comments and help me find a reason to like them.

I’ll be honest, this felt like another boring episode to me. There’s something about this storyline that just feels dull and lackluster. I was really excited to see Ahsoka as she dealt with the fallout of her leaving the Jedi Order. I was pumped. I feel like all we’ve gotten is “meh” stories.

I did like the trip to Kessel, but I kept feeling like something more was going to happen. Maybe Ahsoka was going to sneak off and find the documents that said the unrefined spice was going to drug lords or something like that. They had that brief moment going to the spice mine where Ahsoka points out that the workers were slaves, not droids. It then felt like they just kind of brushed it off. Maybe it’s building up to something bigger, but it just felt glossed over in the end.

Then, we have the visit with the Pykes. I loved how Ahsoka used her experience to do the good old Jedi Mind Trick on the leader. That was a great moment and I did enjoy that part of the episode. It was a little luster on the rest of the lackluster episode.

My favorite moment though is when the heroines are trying to leave Coruscant and we see Anakin in the tower. I absolutely love the relationship he developed with Ahsoka and I love how he could sense her, but didn’t say anything. This is an incredible moment that makes me really look forward to the moment in the trailer when she reaches out to him.

Also, is The Silver Angel really a bad name for a ship? I thought it was fine. Am I wrong?
