One of the greatest things about going to see a new Pixar movie is getting to see the newest short that comes before the film. They are always surprising and beautiful, and have told stories that are funny, sad, or exciting, and I love going in to see a movie, and getting a bonus short to kick off the experience. The latest Pixar film, Onward, is getting something pretty exciting this time, as the studio, who is owned by Disney, as is Fox, has gotten to make its very first Simpsons short!
In an Instagram post from The Simpsons, we learned the short is called “Playdate With Destiny”. It features Maggie, on some sort of date, it seems? The description under the photo says, “Maggie Simpson is speechless… Playdate with Destiny, a new Simpsons short film before Disney & Pixar’s Onward. Exclusively in theaters!”
