There’s been a lot of excitement surrounding the future of Netflix’s The Witcher series, especially with how great the first season turned out to be. Season 2 is expected to be released next year and it could end up being bigger and better than Season 1. The second season will also introduce some new characters, and one of those characters will be Vesemir, Geralt’s mentor.

Last week we learned that Killing Eve actor Kim Bodnia landed the role of Vesemir, but according to entertainment scooper Daniel Richtman, before Netflix settled on him, they were looking for a big name actor to take on the role of Vesemir and they offered the role to both Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal) and Michael Keaton (Batman). However, both of them turned down the offer for unknown reasons.

There is one actor who has expressed interest in taking on the role and that was Mark Hamill, who would have been a great fit! But, for some reason, they didn’t want him.
