I remember when Disney Channel launched their animated series The Proud Family. I never got into it, but I do remember it being a big deal, and many fans were disappointed when the show was left out of Disney+ for the first couple of months. Well, the show is now on Disney+, and Disney is now revealing that they’ve ordered a revival of the series called The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar led the original series, and they’re returning alongside Calvin Brown Jr. to give fans this continuation. In fact, Smith and Farquhar released the following statement:
“In our minds, the show never really went away, as we still had tons of stories left to tell. It’s the perfect time to bring back this show, and we can’t wait to take fans, old and new alike, on this journey with us.”
To make this news even more exciting, many of the original voice actors are returning to reprise their roles. This includes Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, Soleil Moon Frye as Zoey Howzer, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud, Jo Marie Payton as Suga Mama, Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud, Alisa Reyes as LaCienega Boulevardez, Karen Malina White as Dijonay Jones, and Cedric the Entertainer as Uncle Bobby Proud.
