Jeep has released its Super Bowl commercial which wonderfully features Bill Murray back in the role of weatherman Phil Connors from the classic film Groundhog Day and he’s once again stuck in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. This is Murray’s first national commercial ever and this is the note that came along with it.
It’s “Groundhog Day” all over again as Jeep brand debuts a Big Game spot starring Bill Murray. But this time reliving the same day over and over again is always a new adventure when you’re driving the 2020 Jeep Gladiator. Jeep. There’s only one.
The commercial also brigs back Ned Ryerson played by Stephen Tobolowsky along with the mayor of Punxsutawney, once again by Bill Murray’s brother Brian Doyle Murray.
