We’ve got word of a couple new rumors about the upcoming Matt Reeves-directed superhero film, The Batman. According to batman-on-film, Batman, who is being portrayed by Robert Pattinson, will have a whole new look in this film. The report says, “I don’t believe Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne will be getting his suit from anyone other than, well, himself.” So, more of a homemade approach to the Batsuit, which makes sense since this is an origin story, focusing on a detective storyline for the Caped Crusader.
Next up, the report claims the following about the Batmobile:
The scuttlebutt says that Batman’s new ride will indeed be a “car” and not a “tank” ala The Tumbler in THE DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY. Think muscle car — albeit it one that’s totally upgraded and decked out. I don’t think it’ll be as stylized as the Batmobiles from the Burton/Schumacher films.
This all sounds pretty cool, seeing as how the last several Batman films were portrayals of Bruce Wayne at his richest and most decked out. It would be cool to see a lower key Batman, so I am very intrigued by these reports. Of course, it’s all rumors for now, so grains of salt and all that.
