POKEMON: TWILIGHT WINGS Episode 1 is the Start of Another Amazing Mini-Series

Pokémon: Twilight Wings is a 7-episode mini series designed to help Pokémon fans better get to know the Galar region. The first episode dropped last week and I have to say, it’s incredible. Now, before we continue, it should be noted that Twilight Wings doesn’t exist within the main anime’s continuity and I’m not bothered at all. If you remember the other mini-series Pokémon Generations, Twilight Wings reminds me a lot of that in terms of feel and animation.

The first episode, “Letter,” is only about 6 minutes, but everything is so tight that it feels amazing to watch. I know it’s very cliché but this episode feels like it has more heart than a lot of episodes of other projects. In addition, it’s nice to see more of Chairman Rose’s character outside of the game. This helps grow an appreciation for the character in the games. I cannot wait for the next episode to dive into another part of Galar.

The only thing I didn’t care for is that all of the characters had American accents. I know this is going to start a lot of arguments (please be civil) but I was hoping that in Twilight Wings the characters would have English, Irish, Scottish, and/or Welsh accents since the Galar region is based on the United Kingdom.

If you haven’t seen “Letters,” I have included the video below. What do you think about this new mini-series?
