The first teaser trailer has been released for director John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place Part II, and it shows that Emily Blunt and her kids will embark on a dangerous journey as they travel beyond the boundaries of their comfort zone. We also have new poster to share with you along with the following synopsis:
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
I enjoyed the first film, and I hope this sequel will at least be just as good. A Quiet Place Part II picks up immediately after A Quiet Place, and when previously talking about what Blunt’s character will be going through in the film, Krasinski said:
“I love the idea of the first one, that Emily and I as characters were all about surviving versus the thriving. All [my character] wanted to do was survive. And [her character] says, ‘That’s not enough. We have to thrive. We have to let these kids be whole human beings’. And after I’m gone, I’m loving seeing Emily really battle with that – that maybe survival was the way to go. And maybe this idea of thriving was too dangerous.”
The movie also stars Djimon Hounsou and Cillian Murphy. A Quiet Place Part II heads to theaters on March 20, 2020. Check out the teaser and let us know if you’re excited about this sequel.
