I’ve got three new TV spots for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywlaker to share with you that offers up some more new footage. Some of that footage includes Rey (Daisy Ridley) using the Force while in the middle of a fight Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). She’s obviously been practicing her skills! There’s also a shot Rey looking at Darth Vader’s melted helmet and some more Millennium Falcon action.
When previously talking about film and what he was looking to do with with this final chapter of the Skywalker saga, J.J. Abrams said:
“It was really important that we not just redo the things you’ve seen, but add new elements—which we knew will infuriate some people and thrill others. Among those things are not just new ways of doing sort of traditional, must-have sequences, whether it’s chases or lightsaber battles, or what have you. We wanted to make sure that this picture also showed aspects of the Force in ways that go beyond what you’ve seen before.”
The film opens in theaters on December 20th. We’re almost there!
