First Look Photos Inside STAR WARS GALACTIC STARCRUISER Hotel Coming to Walt Disney World Resort

We have a few cool new photos for you to check out that give us our first look inside the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser Hotel that is coming to Walt Disney World Resort next year. WDWNT released the photos of the inside of one of the standard sized cabins, as well as a concept photo that includes guests and a couple of future upgrades to the rooms.

The first photo shows the interior of the standard cabin, which includes “a queen bed with themed bedding and two padded bunk bed “pods” along the wall. On the other side is open storage space and what looks like a small safe and fridge. The room door resembles the airlock style that would see inside of a spaceship!”

The second photo shows the room from the other side, with a view of the cabin aboard the Halcyon. Each cabin “will have a view of the galaxy beyond, with ever-changing vistas as the ship progresses from place to place. A screen mounted to the wall of the cabin shows the ship’s current trajectory (and may well double as a TV.) Against the wall, a table pulls out from a pocket, with futuristic stools to sit on beneath it—these cabins seem compact, but perfectly set up for space travel.”

The next photo is the concept art, which “reveals possible storage space for luggage under the bed, plus a futuristic bedside lamp.”

The report states that rooms come in two sizes: A regular sized cabin, and larger “Captain’s Quarters” cabin. Each floor is set to have 32 regular cabins and two first-class cabins. Expected pricing for a 2-night/2-day stay starts at $3,300 for one person, or just over $1,000 per person, per day. For an exclusive full tour of floor plans and concept art for the new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, including the hotel lobby layout, guest rooms, and more, click here.

Disney previously announced that reservations will open for the resort hotel by the end of this year, and guests will be able to begin their stays in 2021. This is a cool looking place, but man, is it pricey! I don’t have plans to stay there anytime soon, but I bet it would be cool. Will you be checking it out?

Creed II Director Steven Caple Jr. to Helm Next Transformers Film!

Creed II Director Steven Caple Jr. Set to Helm Next Transformers Film

According to Deadline, Creed II director Steven Caple Jr. is set to direct the next big screen installment of Transformers. No details were given about the plot, though the assumption is that the film is expected to pick up the story threads established in 2018’s “soft reboot” Bumblebee.

Filming details were not disclosed, though The Hollywood Reporter notes that the studio is eyeing a release date of June 24, 2022.

This will be the latest entry in the long-running series that has collectively grossed over $4 billion at the box office dating back to Michael Bay’s original 2007 hit. Since that time, audiences have enjoyed (or endured, depending on your point of view) five sequels, including two soft reboots in 2014’s Transformers: Age of Extinction and the aforementioned Bumblebee, the latter of which was directed by Travis Knight.

Bumblebee starred Hailee Steinfeld and received positive reviews from critics but ultimately grossed a so-so (for this franchise) $468 million worldwide. Apparently, after Bumblebee, Paramount and Hasbro set up a writer’s room to determine which direction to take the franchise. Two scripts floated to the top: a Beastwars spinoff by James Vanderbilt and a follow up to Bumblebee penned by Joby Harold; and obviously the latter took the cake.

Directed by Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings), Bumblebee stars Hailee Steinfeld (Edge of Seventeen), Pamela Adlon (Better Things), John Cena (Daddy’s Home 2), Stephen Schneider (Comedy Central’s Broad City), Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Jason Drucker (Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul), Kenneth Choi (American Crime Story), Ricardo Hoyos (Degrassi: Next Class), Abby Quinn (Landline), Rachel Crow (Deidra & Laney Rob a Train), and Grace Dzienny (Zoo). Angela Bassett (Black Panther) will voice the cherry-red Plymouth Satellite Decepticon called Shatter, with Justin Theroux (The Spy Who Dumped Me) voicing Dropkick, the Decepticon who transforms into a blue AMC Javelin.

On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee (Dylan O’ Brien) finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.

The film is produced by Transformers franchise veterans Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Michael Bay, along with executive producers Steven Spielberg, Brian Goldner, and Mark Vahradian. Chris Brigham (ArgoInception) also executive produces. The screenplay is written by Christina Hodson (Unforgettable).

Zack Snyder Shares New Details Regarding Robin in His JUSICE LAEGUE Project

When it was announced that Jared Leto would reprise his role as Joker Zack Snyder’s Justice League: Director’s Cut, fans assumed that his return would involve a flashback of Joker beating Robin to death.

It’s very likely that this is the reason that Joker is being included in the film. While recently talking about his four-part episodic cut of Justice League, Snyder opens up about Robin’s role in the film telling TheFilmJunkee, “There’s a Robin line like…there’s a Robin Easter egg in Justice League. That, I think you’ll have to wait and see. I can’t say exactly.”

Snyder then went on to suggest he had future plans for Robin, adding “Would there be a plan to have more Robin? In whatever future story? There would be.” When talking about a potential future story Snyder explains what that might have been, saying:

“I mean to me, the way you do a Robin story in the Justice League universe with Batman is like, drinking and remembering, and we see what happened. We understand who Robin was to him and we get to experience what was the circumstances for the Joker and Robin coming together.”

Robin’s costume made its on-screen appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Snyder previously confirmed that Batman’s sidekick was killed a decade prior to the events of the feature. He also confirmed that Joker was the one to kill him, saying:

“In my mind, it was that Robin had died 10 years earlier, during some run-in with a young Joker. So there was a fun backstory there to play with. I felt like the whole idea was that there had been loss and there had been sacrifice. In a weird way, he had sacrificed everything to be Batman. He doesn’t really have a life outside the cave. I thought that including Robin, a dead Robin, was helping us understand that he’s been on quite a little journey.”

It will be interesting to see if we get to see that backstory in the upcoming Justice League project, which is coming to HBO Max. It’s really the only real reason it would make sense to bring Joker into the picture. But, we’ll see.

BATWOMAN Season 2 Promo Tease Features First Footage of Javicia Leslie in the Lead Role

The CW has released a new teaser trailer for DC’s Batwoman series, and it offers our first footage of actress Javicia Leslie in action as she is out to protect Gotham City.

Leslie ended up replacing Ruby Rose in the role of Batwoman after she dropped out of the series. Leslie is playing a new character named Ryan Wilder who is taking on the mantle of Batwoman.

Ryan Wilder is described as “likable, messy, a little goofy and untamed. She’s also nothing like Kate Kane, the woman who wore the Batsuit before her. With no one in her life to keep her on track, Ryan spent years as a drug-runner, dodging the GCPD and masking her pain with bad habits. Today Ryan lives in her van with her plant. A girl who would steal milk for an alley cat and also could kill you with her bare hands, Ryan is the most dangerous type of fighter: highly skilled and wildly undisciplined. An out lesbian. Athletic. Raw. Passionate. Fallible. And very much not your stereotypical All-American hero.”

When previously talking about playing Batwoman and the costume she is sporting in the series, Leslie said:

“I love the fact that Ryan is becoming her own Batwoman — it’s her style, her swag, and her moment. I felt it was important that viewers could tell by the silhouette that Batwoman was a Black girl. With the form-fitting suit and beautiful Afro, we definitely nailed it!”

Batwoman is scheduled to return with new episodes on January 17th 2021. Are any of you planning on giving this Batwoman Season 2 a chance?

Michael Bay’s Pandemic Thriller SONGBIRD Getting PVOD Release This December

songbird-2.jpg

STX has released the news that producer Michael Bay’s sci-fi pandemic thriller Songbird is skipping theaters and will be heading straight for an at-home release this December. The film will head to a streaming service following the video-on-demand run, but the studio has not revealed which streamer it will land at yet.

The film Songbird was filmed entirely during the coronavirus. It was the first movie to shoot in Los Angeles in the middle of the pandemic. The story is set four years into quarantine due to a virus and that virus has changed and so have we. The synopsis reads:

In the terrifying thriller SONGBIRD, the COVID-23 virus has mutated and the world is in its fourth year of lockdown. Infected Americans are ripped from their homes and forced into quarantine camps known as Q-Zones, from which there is no escape, as a few brave souls fight back against the forces of oppression. Amid this dystopian landscape, a fearless courier, Nico (KJ Apa), who’s immune to the deadly pathogen, finds hope and love with Sara (Sofia Carson), though her lockdown prohibits them from physical contact. When Sara is believed to have become infected, Nico races desperately across the barren streets of Los Angeles in search of the only thing that can save her from imprisonment … or worse.

Songbird was directed by Adam Mason from a script he co-wrote with Simon Boyes. The film also stars Bradley Whitford and Demi Moore as a wealthy couple who may hold the key to Nico’s mission; Alexandra Daddario as a singer enmeshed in a messy and forbidden affair; Paul Walter Hauser as a disabled veteran whose best friend – a drone named Max – is his eyes and ears to a world that has left him behind; Craig Robinson as Nico’s boss; and Peter Stormare as the corrupt head of the city’s “sanitation” department, which seizes those infected and transports them to the Q-Zone.

Songbird will be available to rent On Demand on December 11th, when audiences can rent the film for $19.99 for a 48-hour period.

Keanu Reeves’ CONSTANTINE Co-Star Reveals ‘Sequel in the Works’

constantine keanu and satan.jpg

Fans have been talking about a possible sequel to the 2005 hit action horror fantasy flick Constantine for years now. Back in July, a report hit the internet saying that J.J. Abrams was going to produce a sequel, and the director of the original film, Francis Lawrence, even spoke out about the plans he had had for a sequel that he pitched to Warner Bros., but he was told that they had other plans.

Rumors have long swirled around this project, but it seems we may have an actual new piece of information to go on. In a recent Instagram post from Keanu Reeves’s original film co-star Peter Stormare, who played Satan in the film, he posted an image of himself from the movie with a quote that reads, “In Constantine, Peter Stormare plays one of the best versions of Satan in film history.” He’s really tooting his own horn there. But that’s not the interesting part. The title of the post reads: “Sequel In The Works.”

That’s not vague. That’s right to the point. Now, Stormare could have had a meeting with someone and he just got ahead of himself before any green lights were actually given, but that is a pretty definitive piece of news that hopefully turns out to be true! We will keep an ear to the ground and let you know when we hear more, but for now, are you stoked to see a Constantine sequel?

New Poster For Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley’s Sci-Fi Film CHAOS WALKING

Lionsgate has shared a new poster for the long-awaited sci-fi thriller, Chaos Walking, starring Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley. The movie was directed by Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow, Mr. & Mrs. Smith) and it completed shooting in 2017.

The movie was originally supposed to be released on March 1, 2019. However, after Lionsgate executives took a look at the film, they deemed it “unreleasable”. And that was after they pumped millions more into the production to do three weeks worth of reshoots to try and make the movie work.

I’m curious to know what happened with this film and what caused it to go completely off the rails. Lionsgate does actually plan on releasing it, though, and I’m curious to see how the film turned out and if it’s as bad as Lionsgate thinks it is.

The film is an adaptation of author Patrick Ness‘ young adult trilogy, and the story takes place in the future, “on a distant planet called the New World which has been colonized by humans. Something called ‘the germ’ has seemingly wiped out all of the women on the planet, and an infection called the Noise has totally eliminated privacy: the men and boys can hear what everyone else is thinking at all times. A young man named Todd Hewitt (Holland) stumbles across the first girl he’s ever seen (Ridley) and eventually realizes that he may be the only one able to stop the planet’s destruction.”

The rest of the cast includes Mads Mikkelsen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) as Mayor Prentiss, Nick Jonas (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) as Davy Prentiss Jr., Demian Bichir (Alien: Covenant) as Ben, Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter as Cillian, and David Oyelowo (Selma, Interstellar) as Aaron.

Chaos Walking will be released on January 22nd, 2021.

Zarude is Coming to a Variety of POKEMON Mediums

Pokémon fans can almost enjoy the new Mythical Pokémon Zarude in pretty much all media mediums. If you’re a fan of the anime, Zarude will be a prominent player in the next film, Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle. The film will release in 2021 and be the 23rd animated film.

As the 23rd animated Pokémon film, “Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle” tells the story of Koko, a young boy raised by Pokémon, and the creation of a new bond between humans and Pokémon. Deep in the jungle, far from any human settlement, is the Forest of Okoya—a Pokémon paradise forbidden to outsiders and protected by a strict code of rules. In this jungle lives Koko, a human boy who has been raised as a Pokémon by the Mythical Pokémon Zarude. Koko has grown up never doubting that he is a Pokémon. But one day, a chance meeting with Ash and Pikachu leaves Koko with his first human friend. Is he truly a Pokémon? Or is he, in fact, a human? When danger threatens the Forest of Okoya, the bonds between Pokémon and human—as well as the love between parent and child—will be put to the test.

If you prefer the Pokémon TCG, Zarude will make his card debut in Sword & Shield – Vivid Voltage. This set will also feature Amazing Pokémon which is a new kind of card “which features Legendary or Mythical Pokémon illustrated with vividly rainbow backgrounds that extend outside of the frame, as well as foil, etched details and a special rarity symbol.” Sword & Shield – Vivid Voltage is available now at Pokemon Center or your local game stores.

Finally, if you’re a fan of the video games, you’ll be able to add a level 60 Zarude to your arsenal in Pokémon Sword and Shield in about a month. You have to sign up for the Pokémon Trainer Club email notifications by November 20 and then you’ll be sent an email with a distribution code on December 11. Zarude is a Dark/Grass-type with the Leaf Guard ability and it will know Close Combat, Power Whip, Swagger, and Snarl.
