YouTube’s Cobra Kai series is seriously one of the best shows that you can watch right now. If you haven’t started watching, you really are missing something really special.

I loved the first season of this series, which is a continuation of the story of The Karate Kid characters Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), and Season 2 was even better! The last season was super intense and emotional and it left on a huge and exciting cliffhanger.

So, I’m super happy and excited to report that Cobra Kai has been renewed for a third season! That’s right the story of these wonderful characters will continue for at least one more season. Honestly, I don’t want this show to end anytime soon. I’m just not ready to let go of these characters yet.

In Season 1 we saw Johnny Lawrence reopen the Cobra Kai dojo and start teaching a new generation of kids his unique style of karate. Daniel LaRusso, who is now a successful businessman, clashes with Lawrence and their old rivalry reignites.

Season 2 is set after Cobra Kai’s controversial win at the All Valley Championships, LaRusso decides to open his own dojo called Miyagi-do in honor of his late mentor, Mr. Miyagi. It also sees the return of Martin Kove, who reprises his role of John Kreese, and turns Johnny’s life completely upside down in so many ways. In case you haven’t seen it yet, I won’t get into the details, but it’s such a great story arc.

Cobra Kai is written and executive produced by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg. They are also the ones who have been directing most of the episodes of the series. They will all be back to develop Season 3 of the show and it will also see the return of co-stars Tanner Buchanan (Johnny’s son Robby), Mary Mouser (Daniel’s daughter Samantha), Xolo Maridueña (Johnny’s student Miguel), Jacob Bertrand (Miguel’s friend Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz), and Martin Kove.

YouTube also announced that it will make all of its originals, including “Cobra Kai,” free to watch with ads later this year!

Have you been watching Cobra Kai? If you watched Season 2, what did you think!?
