CALL OF CTHULHU is Gaining Ground with Roll20 Users According to the Orr Group Q3 2019 Report

In the RPG world, Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition is king. You talk to people about tabletop RPGs and D&D is pretty much the first (if not only) game people think about. Well, it looks like the king may be losing some of its power.

The Orr Group recently released their report for Q3 of 2019 and while D&D 5E is still king, it has taken a dip among users. On Roll20, many systems took a dip with one exception. Since Q2, Call of Cthulhu has about doubled the number of campaigns created and the number of accounts using the system has almost quadrupled.

Other big differences are that inSANe has joined the top 10 list for both percentages of campaigns and accounts, replacing Shadowrun in campaigns and Star Wars in accounts.

I am genuinely interested to see how things unfold and it makes me excited that people appear to be branching out from the most popular TTRPG. I love D&D, but it’s nice to see that people are enjoying other games. Plus, I’ve heard great things about Call of Cthulhu. What games are you playing? Do you use Roll20?
