Amandla Stenberg (The Hate U Give) has been cast in the reboot of the 1996 movie Fear, originally starring Reese Witherspoon and Mark Wahlberg. It was the age-old story of boy meets girl, they fall in love, boy turns into a raging psycho stalker because nobody ever put him in his place.
Talk about a movie that absolutely doesn’t need a remake. The problem with movies like this is that so many girls and women know a guy who has gone psycho and scared them and made them feel afraid for their lives at one point or another. It’s not as fun as you’d think it is to see it played out on the screen. It should come with a PTSD warning.
But just like Witherspoon was, Stenberg is a great actress just getting her start who can pay her dues and play some stupid roles, then get to choose what she wants to do in the future. We will let you know when we find out who gets to play the hot lunatic boyfriend.
