The Santa Clause is returning for fans to enjoy in the form of a new series headed to Disney+. It was already announced that Tim Allen is returning as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus, and now news has dropped that Elizabeth Mitchell is set to reprise her role as Carol, aka Mrs. Claus, for the streamer’s upcoming limited series. The project comes from Last Man Standing creator Jack Burditt, who serves as showrunner.

In the The Santa Clause (w/t), Scott Calvin is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.
Mitchell, known for her roles on ABC’s Lost and Once Upon a Time and NBC’s Revolution, recurs on the second season of Netflix’s Outer Banks and is set as a lead in the streamer’s upcoming vampire drama First Kill produced by Emma Roberts. She can also be seen in last year’s film Queen Bees.
