Winston Duke’s Marvel Character M’Baku Has an Expanded Role in BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER

Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is back in production after a number of setbacks. One of the most recent involved Shuri actress Letitia Wright, who suffered some crazy injuries while performing a stunt while shooting the film last summer. The project has been on a lengthy hiatus, but Wright has recovered and is back in action!

Wright obviously has a major role in the film for the whole production to shut down for that long, but it looks like she’s not the only character that will have a bigger role in the film. THR is reporting that Winston Duke’s character M’Baku will also have an expanded role. They say in a recent report:

Separately, sources say Winston Duke, who plays M’Baku, negotiated a hefty raise for his return to Black Panther due to what is being described as an expanded role in the Panther mythos. What that expansion looks like is unclear.

I liked this character in the original film. He was one of the more interesting characters that was introduced so I like that they are going to play with him a bit more in this upcoming film.

Ryan Coogler is directing the sequel, which is shooting at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta. There are still no details to share on the story the film will tell or how exactly the story will handle the absence of the late Chadwick Boseman, but I can’t help but be curious about what their plans are moving forward.

The movie will also bring back Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Lupita Nyong’o, Florence Kasumba, Angela Bassett, and Martin Freeman, who will reprise their roles from the original film.

The movie is still on track to be released on November 11th, 2022. What do you think about M’Baku getting a bigger role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?
