First Look at Leslie Grace in Costume as BATGIRL

Leslie Grace has shared the first photo from DC’s upcoming film Batgirl, and as you can see, she is decked out in her full superhero costume. I actually like the costume, which was obviously inspired by the costume design from The Batgirl of Burnside comic book run, and it looks good!

Production on the film is well underway, and Lesley is joined in the film by Michael Keaton as Batman, Brendan Fraser as the villain, JK Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, and Jacob Scipio, is taking on an unknown role.

Batgirl is being directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah from a script written by Christina Hodson (Bumblebee, Birds of Prey). Kristin Burr, who recently worked on Cruella, is producing the film, which is going to be released exclusively on HBO Max. Burr said in a previous statement:

‘With Batgirl, we hope to take the audience on a fun ride and see a different side of Gotham. Christina’s script is crackling with spirit. Adil and Bilall have an excited and joyous energy which is infectious, making them the perfect filmmakers for this Batproject. And I’m just psyched I get to be part of the DC universe, which is super cool.”

There are no plot details to share, Burr said in a previous statement, “With Batgirl, we hope to take the audience on a fun ride and see a different side of Gotham. Christina’s script is crackling with spirit. Adil and Bilall have an excited and joyous energy which is infectious, making them the perfect filmmakers for this Batproject. And I’m just psyched I get to be part of the DC universe, which is super cool.”

The exact release date of the Batgirl movie is still unknown, but it will be released on HBO Max. Co-director Adil El Arbi shared a wider version of the photo. You can check both of them out below and let us know what you think about the costume!
