For anyone who owned a classic Nintendo growing up, there’s no doubt that you ended up blowing inside of the NES game cartridge to get it to work. I remember doing it because that’s what my friends did and it always worked! You blow in it one or two times and bam, the game starts up!

Here’s the thing, though… it turns out that the act of blowing into the cartridge never actually did anything to make the game work! There’s this who thing called “Post-Hoc fallacy,” that made your brain believe that it did. This is what the video focuses on.
