We know that director Scott Derrickson is currently developing Doctor Strange 2 for Marvel and there’s a very good chance that it will be one of the films officially announced by the studio later this summer.
We know that Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role as Stephen Strange and now we’ve learned that some new characters might be joining him. According to the mysterious Twitter account @RogerWardell, who previously revealed several legit plot points for Avengers: Endgame long before in came out, Doctor Strange 2 will introduce the Marvel characters Jericho Drumm a.k.a. Brother Voodoo and Clea to the MCU.
In addition to the two new characters, it’s also reported that Tilda Swinton is in talks to reprise her role as the Ancient One, which would make sense. It also says the look and feel of the film will be akin to a “1980s boogaloo.”

For those of you not familiar with these two characters, here’s a brief description of them from the comics:
Brother Voodoo:
Born in Haiti, Jericho Drumm left for America to become a Doctor. One day he received word that his brother was dying because of a Voodoo Curse. He got revenge by learning Voodoo from Papa Jambo. Recently made the new Sorcerer Supreme, he is now known as Doctor Voodoo.
Clea:
Clea is the heroic daughter of Umar and the niece of Dormammu. She is also Doctor Strange’s estranged wife and was the ruler of The Dark Dimension until her Uncle usurped her throne and regained his.
The groundwork for Brother Voodoo’s introduction has already kind of been laid in the first film, as his brother Daniel Drumm (Mark Anthony Brighton), who was the keeper of the New York Sanctum, was murdered by Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen).
Derrickson will return to direct the sequel from a script written by original screenwriter C. Robert Cargill. He previously said that he would like to feature Nightmare as the villain of the sequel, but only time will tell if that’s the actual direction that the story will go.
