Look Into the Past in D&D with THE FARSEER Unofficial Class

Here’s a new unofficial class for Dungeons & Dragons fans to try out. The Farseer is a new class from the minds of Massimo Tartaro and Marco Michelutto. The class is a spellcaster that has visions and is able to see into the past. These visions can have a lasting impact on the character and may give them a quirk such as speaking all their thoughts to avoid confusing thoughts for visions. Different Farseers receive visions in different ways too. One may have lucid dreams while others have visions given to them by the people who lived the experience. It’s an interesting class with potential although I do not like the Uncanny Familiarity feature. You have to spend 4 vision points (a unique feature of the class) in order to roll 1d100 to learn more about something or someone. The trick is that your roll has to be equal to or less than your Farseer level which means that your chances of actually getting anything useful from it is extremely low at lower levels and still pretty low at higher levels.

The farseer is a new versatile class that may cover different roles thanks to its reminiscences feature. Twelve reminiscences are available for the player who can customize the farseer and create different combinations of game style according to needs. At third level, a farseer choose its subclass option: eyes of the creators and eyes of the heroes, the first one awakes psionic powers whilst the second is based on the Hero’s Journey. At higher levels, the farseer obtains permanent benefits inherited from its reminiscences which determine its final.

You can purchase The Farseer from DMs Guild for $3.
