If you’re looking for a new tabletop RPG to play, I have one for you to consider. Adventure Presents is a new game from publisher Rebellion. The game is currently raising funds via Kickstarter, and it’s definitely interesting. The game seems to be taking a new approach where you purchase different issues with each one being a standalone adventure complete with rules and character sheets to help you start playing fast.
As for gameplay, you’ll simply need three 6-sided dice (d6). Every roll is contested, meaning that two people always roll and the higher number will probably win. In addition, there are only four abilities that will range in level from 1-4 and each character will have three unique goals/needs/habits to help the players understand what decisions they’d make. I can dig this very simple approach.
The first issue is a sci-fi horror adventure called Tartarus Gate and comes from Grant Howitt and Chris Taylor with art by Pye Parr.
I know a lot of gamers are looking for new games to try out and this looks like something many will enjoy. The Kickstarter has less than two weeks left, so you should probably hurry if you want to get in on the goodies.
