Sony Pictures Pushes Release Dates For MORBIUS, GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE, UNCHARTED, and More

Sony Pictures has pushed back the release dates for many of its big movies including Morbius, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Uncharted and Peter Rabbit 2 to next year. This was expected as several other studios have been pushing the release dates of their films.

Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife has moved from July 10th, 2020, to March 5th, 2021; Jared Leto’s Morbius has been pushed back from July 31st, 2020, to March 19th, 2021; Tom Holland-starring video game adaptation Uncharted went from March 5th, 2021, to December 8th, 2021; and Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway moved from August 7th, 2020, to January 15th, 2021. Then there’s an untitled Sony/Marvel movie has been delayed. It was originally supposed to come out on October 8th, 2021.

So, pretty much every major Sony movie that was supposed to come out this year was moved to 2021, except for Kevin Hart’s upcoming film Fatherhood, which was moved up three months into October; and Tom Hanks’ World War II drama Greyhound, which currently doesn’t have a release date.
