This is a super interesting video from Screen Crush that delves into Disney’s past and shows the storytelling style that has been used in Disney’s almost century of movie making versus the style that is now used in the Pixar films that changes the narrative a bit and pulls the viewers in a bit more.
I especially loved the highlights on the movies Ratatouille and Brave, as they are two of my favorites, and maybe the way their stories were told and their villains were handled has something to do with that.
