Yesterday was Pokémon Day, and to celebrate, Pokémon made two reveals. The first revelation was a new Mythical Pokémon coming to Pokémon Sword and Shield named Zarude. Zarude is the Rogue Monkey Pokémon and features a Dark/Grass dual typing and the Leaf Guard ability. This ability will prevent opponents from inflicting terrible status conditions on Zarude as long as the sunlight is harsh.
The second revelation was the top 10 most popular Pokémon. For the past few weeks, fans could go to Google and vote for their favorite Pokémon, and now the results are in. There are some great Pokémon that made the list, but I’m shocked that Pikachu wasn’t on there. I’m also surprised Rayquaza’s the only legendary on the list. Also, I may not be surprised that Greninja was on the list, but I am surprised that it’s number one. I guess I shouldn’t be, but I guess I just assumed that spot would go to Pikachu or Mewtwo. Sadly, my top two didn’t make the list, but did your favorites make it?
