HBO Shares Trailer for the WATCHMEN Season Finale; What Did You Think of the Most Recent Episode?

The eighth episode of Watchmen, “A God Walks Into Abar”, premiered this past Sunday, and it was an incredible and brilliant episode. The whole episode focuses on the relationship between Dr. Manhattan and Angela (Regina King). I loved the way this episode was written and how the story was told. I’d love to know what you all thought about it!

HBO has released a promo trailer for the ninth and final episode of the series, which is titled “See How They Fly,” and it teases the impending end as the clock ticks towards the deadline. I can’t wait to see how this story comes to a close, and I hope to hell that it sticks the landing! If you haven’t seen the most recent episode yet, then you might not want to watch the trailer or read the comments.

Set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own. Originally published as a 12-issue miniseries beginning in 1986, Watchmen quickly become one of sequential art’s most acclaimed stories. The original story centers on a murder-mystery before unfolding into a planet-altering conspiracy that ultimately asks where the fine line is drawn between heroes and villains. Check out the original comic for yourself by purchasing it here.

The series is made up of a wonder ensemble cast that also includes Jeremy Irons (Justice League) as an older Ozymandias, Don Johnson (Django Unchained), Louis Gossett Jr. (Hap and Leonard), Tim Blake Nelson (Colossal), Adelaide Clemens (Rectify), Andrew Howard (Bates Motel), Frances Fisher (Masters of Sex), Jacob Ming-Trent (White Famous), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Handmaid’s Tale), Sara Vickers (The Crown), Tom Mison (Sleepy Hollow), Jean Smart (Fargo), and James Wolk (Zoo, Tell Me a Story).

The upcoming finale was directed by Frederick E.O. Toye from a script co-written by Damon Lindelof and Nick Cuse, and it’s set to air on December 15th. What are you hoping from the season finale?
